For the exhibition in Arte Gallery, Andrea Ivanovic Jaksic made a sculpture-instalation titled „To Be a Man“.

The artist herself declares that with this work she wants to make an observer think about life while facing the death. The unninterrupted line of photographs of „a man“ in the different stages of life indicates temporality, by speaking of death (as well as subconscious fear of death) as the strongest stimulation to life.

Aside of this conceptualy conceived instalation, artist will also show her paintings and drawings. In the catalogue text, written for this exhibition by art historian Ivana Benovic, it is pointed that Andrea Ivanovic Jaksic's intense, even masculine paintings and thrilling instalations are very different from gentle and subtile „female art“ as we usually see it.

The exhibition lasts until the end of August.
