The students' works created in the Photo Atelier of the Faculty of Applied Art in Belgrade. The exhibition is open from 11. Jul till 23. Jul 2008.

For years now, the Photo Atelier of the Faculty of Applied Art in Belgrade has been presenting works created by its students during their academic year. This tradition has proven to be justifiable and useful in many ways. Firstly, an exhibition of works created by students of all academic years represents a constant re-evaluation of the validity of academic programmes. Secondly, it endorses the utility of tasks and exercises given to the students during their academic year.

Enabling an expert public to give its objective opinion on the results achieved by both students and their teachers, we are presenting our efforts to educate and form professional photographers who will be ready to take part in all the segments of working process where photography and photo design play a crucial part.

Not to forget to mention that this exhibition is also an excellent opportunity for young artists to review their results in the domain of photography, to present them in a gallery venue, to compare and evaluate their achievements as well. It also gives direct pieces of information to some future students about which academic programmes our school offers and what results can be achieved.

This year's exhibition has a festive nature because it is part of the 60 anniversary celebration of the Faculty of Applied Art in Belgrade. By means of implementing the Bologna process in the organisation of academic system at our school, we will be facilitating the creation of a more attractive programme and allowing our students to play a more active role in their education.

Hopefully we shall see the results of our endeavours at the very next exhibition of photography in the year of 2009. Photography as a course of study is planned and carried out by Mitar Trninic, Reader, Branimir Karanovic, Professor, Vladimir Tatarevic, Senior lecturer and Dragoslav Markovic, Associate.
