Mališa Glišić

Malisa Glisic went to Arts and Crafts school in Belgrade, and later he attended Munich Academy of Arts. After Germany he went to Italy, near Rome and Napoli, where he painted landscapes. He was a stage designer for Belgrade National Theater, and during the first year of World War One he was a war painter while he was defending Belgrade. Amongst his not very numerous paintings special place has painting “Tasmajdan” (1907), that represents him as one of the first exponents of Impressionism in Serbia.
