Lazar Vozarević
Sremska Mitrovica
Lazar Vozarevic was one of the most distinguished Serbian painters of second half of 20th century. He was born in Sremska Mitrovica in 1925. He finished Academy of Fine Arts in 1948. As a member of December group he was progressively oriented towards modernism. In his modernistic abstract paintings he incorporated shapes and forms similar to medieval fresco and mosaic tradition.
