Biography


Kosta Hakman was one of the most prominent exponents of Colorism in Serbian art of the 20th century. He was born in 1899. He studied painting in Krakow and Paris. After World War II, which he spent as a prisoner in a concentration's camp, he worked as a professor in Belgrade Academy of Fine Arts. He died in Opatija in 1961.
