Biography
Jovan Popovic was the most prominent exponent of Bider Meyer in Serbia. He was born in Opovo in Banat in 1810. He learned painting in Konstantin Danil's studio, and later he continued his studies in Vienna Academy. In spirit of Bider Meyer he painted female, male and child portraits.
