Biography


Born in Strumica, Macedonia on 31 January 1928. In 1945. he enrolled into the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb; first two years works in the class of professor Vanja Radaun, while the last year attends the class of professor Fran Krninic. From 1953. he started to work in his own studio, and from 1970. he had a workshop in Vrsar (Istria). In 1987. he moved to Brussels. From then on he lived between Brussels, Vrsar and Zagreb. He is widely known for giant, abstract sculptures made of materials that were new at the time, such as steel, nails, glass and aluminum. His works were shown, among other places throughout Europe, at the Place Vendome in Paris, outside the Palace de Justice in Brussels and at the Regents' Park in London.
