Exhibition of Sasa Pancic will be opened in Arte gallery in 3rd of September, at 8 PM. Although it is against gallery's concept of exhibiting one single work of art, this time exception is made so the audience could introduce themselves to representative pieces of work of Sasa Pancic. This pieces are exhibited in a way of showing his general artistic poetics.

A painting, oil on canvas (110x160 cm) entitled “Dance” will be shown on the main wall of gallery. Aside of a painting, there will also be two-layered black and white drawings (60x65 cm ). Together with these works, there will also be presented Sasa Pancic's short film “Black light” from 2006.

About the change in the gallery's concept considering number of works on display, it is been said that it is caused by the wish of gallery's management to introduce audience with diversity of media which are present in the work of this artist. “One work is predominant here, but there are also few other works on display, because that way is easier to point out the complexity of the idea of space, and capacity of line and surface to pass through different media, and still to keep their primary poetics”, said Sasa Pancic.

Presented works are all part of the same idea. Drawings of Sasa Pancic are sketches for sculpture, and sculpture is a model for some future sculpture conceived to be in exterior - public space or a landscape. Displaying the larger sculpture in exterior would provide possibility to walk in and around it. Particularly interesting are the drawings that are made of sculpture's shadow that depends of position of Sun. That way, sculpture becomes drawing again, and the observer becomes someone who is included in an art work.
