The exhibition will be open until 2 April. Part of the settings will be displayed in the lobby of the Belgrade Drama Theater, where audiences will be able to see and a short film about Victor Vazareli.

Pécs is the European Capital of Culture year. On that occasion, the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary has decided to organize a major traveling exhibition of artists Victor Vazareli. The exhibition was first set up in Novi Sad, Belgrade and after will be able to look in Vrsac, Zrenjanin, Nis, Subotica and many other cities in Serbia.

Victor Vazareli (1906-1997) was a theorist and practitioner op-art, an important direction in the art of 20th century, known as optical art. Born in Pecs, Hungary, where after completion of studies in Budapest, write Muhej Academy, also known as the Budapest Bauhaus. There are acquainted with the then research in the field of color and optics, which are carried out Borotnjik mohou-Nagy and Albers, and konstruktivisti Malevich and Kandinsky. After his first solo exhibition in Budapest, he moved to Paris 1930th and dedicated graphics analysis, and experiments based on the interaction of shapes and colors to create the illusion of movement and three-dimensional space.
