Univerzitet umetnosti u Beogradu i Fakultet likovnih umetnosti u Beogradu pozivaju na program gostovanja Stahla Stensliea novomedijskog umetnika i profesora iz Osla, Norveška.

13h Introduction to the making of electronic, tactile and responsive clothing. These will be similar to the ones I use in computercontrolled environments. However, these will be analogue triggered by mechanical pressure sensors.
The finished clothings should be taken out into town/social settings, worn by the studens and triggered through social contact/touch with strangers, thus turning its users into reality avatars having real sensations. I will bring enough components with me to build three to five simple suits. The workshop should therefore not be bigger than 10 - 15 people. 16h End.

A performance by Stahl Stenslie
The Artgasm performance is an extreme body manipulative affair. It presents physical, involuntary orgasms as art, trimming down art to the original meaning of aesthetics as perception by means of the senses.
The project is both a free, artistic experiment on the materiality of art as well as a critique of an art-market and art-system ruled by social control mechanisms and commercial interests. Present biopolitics promotes pleasure and truth under a rule of self-control. Artgasm questions when excess become the danger? And would you like to experience forced pleasure?

STAHL STENSLIE BIOGRAPHY
Stahl Stenslie works with the development of experimental interface technologies and tools within the fields of art, media and network-research. Lives and works as media artist, curator and professor in Oslo, Norway. His main emphasize is on cognition and perception manipulative projects and he has produced a large number of interactive art works, see www.stenslie.net.
He has been exhibiting and lecturing at major international events (ISEA, DEAF, Ars Electronica, SIGGRAPH). He represented Norway at the biennial in Istanbul, Turkey, co-organized 6cyberconf, won the Grand Prize of the Norwegian Council for Cultural Affairs, and was a founding member of mem_brane -network research laboratory- in Mediapark, Cologne, Germany. He was moderating the Ars Electronica 'Next Sex' symposium.
Between 2001 and 2005 he was a professor In New Media at the Media Academy of Cologne, Germany, www.khm.de. From 2005 till 2007 he was the dean of the Faculty of visual arts, Oslo National Academy of the Arts (www.khio.no). Stahl is an elected board member of ELIA - European League of Institutes in the Arts.
