Vilko Gecan
Kuželj
Vilko Gecan was born in Croatia, where he went to grammar and secondary school. He was 16 when he first started to paint. In a year 1913. he came to Zagreb to attend private art school of Tomislav Krizman, but in a same year he went in Munich where he entered Academy of Fine Arts. Aside of a painting, he made prints, illustration and caricature, and he also cooperated with Ljubomir Micic and others on magazine “Zenit”.
