Vinkovci
Sava Sumanovic (Sava Choumanovitch) was one of the most renowned Serbian artists of the first half of 20th century. He was born in Vinkovci, he studied art in Zagreb and in Paris in Andre Lot's studio. In his paintings he went through different phases: Cubism, Classicism, Colorism. In the last decade of his life he lived in Sid, where he discovered his own, personal and recognizable style. His painting are now in numerous private and public collections, and they are frequently being sold in auctions worldwide.
