During the consistent formation process of Predrag Popara as an artist, which is very clear in terms of visual arts, Predrag Popara created a set of authentic values poetically. Over the years the contents of his visual presentations has become deeper and more sophisticated, and his visual language has become richer. Oriented towards the time and place he lives in, the artist does not use motifs from nature or from his memory. Instead, he conveys his messages and emotions by using clear visual language. That reality, seen through a very specific personal dimension and embodied in a figure of a human being, gives a sophisticated visual experience through the medium of the canvass. It thus becomes more complex, but also more attractive. The observer is absorbed into endless time-space constructions, where each painting is just one part of the unique image, the image with no beginning and no end. The key to the visual perception of these works levitates on the dividing line between the spiritual and the material world, between synthesis and analysis, between colors and gestures. Sublimated, they create skillfully composed wholes reduced to their quintessence. Putting the visualization before narration, Popara reduces the composition to the level of small wholes by concentrating the elements, and this applies not only to form but also color effects, and together they make the artistic expression more powerful.

Popara is a character of a visionary type, and he finds a way of expressing himself through dramatizing the shapes which dissolve in ethereal harmony. The delicate chromatic compositions and eruptive strokes as their building material reveal the artist's tempestuous temperament, which produces unexpected visual results in each painting. These are the visual images where the artist's deep insight into of the visual arts is highlighted. This conception of visual arts materializes in suggestive compositions, rich in symbolic implications.Visual expression is plentiful and varied in these works. In some canvasses one can see a plastic solution, linear in others; some paintings are flaming with colors, some are realized through different hues of a single color. The main means of expression in Popara's creative process is paint applied in wide, layered strokes.

The domineering tonality, ocher-gray-blue, is enriched with intensive chromatic partitions and that accentuates the visual effect of these works. The role of subdued tones should be pointed out here, for they introduce a certain enigmatic quality to these visual images.

In the compositions created by this artist there are no irrelevant elements; moreover, all elements have their own, clearly defined artistic value, which serves the very compact expression. The relation between linear elements and colorist surfaces additionally inspires the author to create even more complex wholes, where the line achieves its visual and semiotic autonomy. The relief quality, which emphasizes the expressiveness of the works, serves as a symbolic and scenic language, which harmonizes with the artistic purpose of the works.

Predrag Popara reveals his own world, and he does so in an artistically convincing way.
