Mica Popovic was one of the most significant artists in second half of 20th century. He was one of the six students of Belgrade Academy of Arts that in 1947. decided to fight the system and strict rules of Academy and went to Zadar forming the famous “Zadar group”. In sixties, Mica Popovic was one of the first exponents of informel in Serbia, but he is most famous by his “Scenes Painting”. He is also author of a number of films and literary works.
