Ljiljana Žegarac



Ljiljana Žegarac was born on May 31st, 1941, in Nova Gradiška. Ljiljana lives in Belgrade, where she attended and graduated the "Kralj Petar" ("King Peter") Elementary school, and also the "Prva Beogradska" (First Belgrade) Gymnasium. Ljiljana got a diploma from the Fine Arts Academy in Belgrade, in the Costume Design department of Professor Pavle Vasić. She completed her post-graduate studies at the same Fine Arts Academy, specializing in the area of contemporary fashions with Professor Andjelka Slijepčević.

Her study visit to London between 1967 and 1968, which made possible by the British Council, enabled Ljiljana to observe the creative works of various artists in several different Fine Art Academies, as well as visit many theater and current cultural events. In 1975, Ljiljana received a National Scholarship for Fine Arts Graduates, that she used to study and research many fashion designs throughout England and Scotland.
